Home from Home

Stable Cottage offers a well-equipped country getaway that is ideal for both couples and families.

Located in the pretty village of West Meon, it is a short walk away from the village shop (which now has an internet cafe); butchers (award winning Harriotts); and The Thomas Lord pub, Hampshire's Country Pub of the Year 2008.

The busy market town of Petersfield is six miles away and the beautiful Cathedral City of Winchester 12 miles. The surrounding countryside is easily accessible with the picturesque Iron Age fort at Old Winchester Hill, with its stunning views over southern Hampshire, only a five minute drive away.

For walkers, the start of the Meon Valley Trail (which runs from West Meon to Wickham and follows the route of the old railway line) is only a few hundred yards from our door. The route of the famous Wayfarers Walk is about 3 miles away at its closest point.

"Thank you for a lovely stay, the personal touches were what set it apart, especially the chocolate brownies."
